JACKETS
TYPE B-9 FLIGHT PARKA
Standardized on July 22, 1943 the B-9 was the first cloth parka employed by the USAAF which was designed to enough to allow for layering underneath. The warm lining is a superb quilted rayon-satin, with genuine goose down fill.
The jacket back has an elastic strip incorporated in the lining to keep the fit snug on the body, while drawstrings of the hood and the sleeves outfitted with wool knit further add to insulative qualities. Two sets of wool-lined pockets are incorporated in the jacket body and a button-down storm flap seals the zipper front from biting winds.
Buzz Ricksons have reproduced the B-9 Flying Jacket to their usual very high authentic standard, re-creating every detail exactly as per the original.
