The US Navy Wet Weather Parka is a lightweight pullover design foul weather garment. Synonymous with the Navy Beach Battalions of the D-Day invasion of June 1944. This very practical wet weather garment is light and uncumbersome, but at the same time stout and robust.
The rubberised cotton ensures excellent resistance to wet conditions and packs down to reasonably small volume so can be easily packed into a walking bag. Metal hook closure and throat yoke ensure the wet stays out of the neck, and hood has ties and press studs to further secure from the elements. Bottom has rope draw string to pull in the hem.
