PLAIN SWEATSHIRT 4-NEEDLE SUBDUED RED
These 4-Needle 1930's/40's sweatshirts are made from 13-ounce 100% cotton, fabricated on original 1920's vintage loop-wheeling looms.
4-Needle looms are special machines that are able to weave a perfect tube, but they can only weave one set diameter (size) per loom; a loom for each size is required - very expensive! This is why one hardly ever sees perfect tube construction in modern day garments. It ensures true shape is maintained not only during its construction but during its life of wear.
With shrewd foresight much of the old U.S. 1920s machinery and looms were bought up by the Japanese in the 1980s when they were otherwise deemed obsolete. These old looms, although slower, are able to produce a much higher quality cloth and one which perfectly matches the quality of those garments made from that period. For those who can appreciate such quality, these sweatshirts are sure to please.
