TYPE B-15B TEST SAMPLE
The Aero Medical Laboratory, located at Wright Patterson Ohio, was the institution which was responsible for the development of flight clothing. Based on information gleaned from questioned airmen various designs would be tried and tested. If found to be seemingly suitable a small number of garments would be produced and handed out to personnel for actual on-the-job use.
Some would end up being approved and become standardized for official issue, and some would not. In all instances these test garments carried the special 'Aero Medical Lab' labels so as to be easily identified. The B-15B of course went on to become standard issue, and the product offered here is a superb recreation of the extremely rare B-15B test prototype that was the forerunner of this model.
The standard B-15B has a nylon shell and lining. But the test sample had a cotton grosgrain shell, which was a material used prior to the development of nylon, and Alpaca lining.
Buzz have reproduced the test sample B-15B with every nuance and trim part of this rare model to the finest detail.
