TIGER STRIPE M-65
The Tiger Stripe camouflage pattern is one of the most distinctive camo designs in military clothing history. Indeed it has acquired an almost cult design-classic status.
It emerged from the Vietnam conflict, and is specific to this theatre of operations. The US Special Forces who wore it, procured it from local Vietnamese sources who designed the pattern specifically for the jungle environment.
During the period of its use a number of variations appeared, but it is the Gold Tiger Stripe that is the most sought after among collectors due to its rarity and attractive appearance.
Buzz have recreated the Gold Tiger Stripe fabric to their usual high degree of quality and authenticity; the fabric and print are stunningly accurate.
The M-65 combat jacket is of course one those garment designs that came out of the military which has gained a design-classic status. Used extensively in the Vietnam campaign, the M-65 was standard G-I issue - usually in a plain Olive Drab shade - Tiger Stripe was used by US Special Forces only.
