M-43 SERVICE SHOE OLIVE DRAB
The M-43 Service Shoe is really what we would call today an ankle boot. It was in fact the standard issue combat boot issued to G-Is, standardised in June 1943.
Made from a 'Rough-Out' hide (Rough-Out meaning the hide was turned inside out, leaving the nap side facing outwards), the M-43 service shoe superseded the earlier 1939 model service shoe.
As part of the Aviation Associates range, the M-43 boot has been incorporated as a civilian model in an Olive Drab Rough-Out hide. Very limited availability.
